MBTI Arcane Characters

Jinx (ENFP)

Jinx from Arcane is an ENFP

Jinx is a chaotic, traumatized version of an ENFP. She’s the spark that lights up the room and the fuse that blows it to hell—often at the same time.

Growing up as Powder, she was a sensitive, eager kid who wanted nothing more than to make her sister proud. But when Vi walked out—Jinx’s Ne (Extraverted Intuition) took the wheel and steered it straight into a minefield of possibilities. Every plan, every half-baked idea, became a chance to prove herself worthy of love, even if that meant burning the whole world down to get it.

Ne is all about “What if?” and for Jinx, those questions never stop: What if Vi still loves me? What if I can make the perfect bomb? What if everything I touch is doomed to explode? Her mind is an endless whirlwind of possibilities, and she chases each one until it either fizzles out or takes someone’s arm off.

Underneath it all, Fi (Introverted Feeling) is the molten core of her soul. Jinx feels everything like a punch to the gut. She’s driven by the need to be seen, to be loved—sometimes by Vi, sometimes by Silco, sometimes just by the little voice in her head that says, “You’re more than this.” When that voice falters, she clings to the one person who never left: herself. Even if that means telling the world to shut up and let her be the explosive, unpredictable force she’s become.

Vi (ESTP)

Vi from Arcane is an ESTP

Vi is the older sister who never met a problem she didn’t want to punch square in the face. She’s the human equivalent of a wrecking ball—direct, charming, and about as subtle as a bomb in a teacup.

As an ESTP, Vi doesn’t tiptoe around the truth—she charges at it headfirst. Se (Extraverted Sensing) is her superpower: she sees the world in high definition, every detail sharp, every movement an opportunity. If something’s broken, she’s not going to sit around wondering why—it’s getting fixed (or flattened) now.

Her Ti (Introverted Thinking) is what keeps her laser-focused when the fists start flying. She’s quick on her feet, finding leverage points, always looking for the next move. She might not be the type to get lost in her feelings, but she’ll read the room in an instant—especially if that room needs rearranging.

But ESTPs also have a Feeling side; their tertiary function, Extraverted Feeling, wants to take care of the people closest to it. Vi wants to protect her friends, her sister, her girlfriend. She cares about how they’re feeling and sometimes doesn’t know how to stick up for her own self or understand her own feelings without them.

If you’re an ESTP, you might see a bit of yourself in her—restless, real, and absolutely unstoppable.

Ekko (ISFP)

Ekko from Arcane is an ISFP

Ekko grew up in the shadows but never let the city’s grime stick to his soul. He’s an ISFP—fiercely independent, driven by his own heart, and, let’s be honest, cooler than anyone has a right to be at twenty years old.

As a kid, Ekko was all wide-eyed wonder and mischievous smiles—always finding a way to make something out of nothing. But life in the Lanes hits hard and hits early. When the people he loved most either vanished or turned into ghosts of themselves, Ekko did what ISFPs do best: he got quiet. He turned inward, found his center, and let his actions speak louder than any words ever could.

Fi (Introverted Feeling) is Ekko’s secret engine. He doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve—he carries it like a flame in his chest, burning bright enough to keep him going even when the world tries to snuff it out. When everyone else was scrambling to survive, Ekko was building something better: a haven for the lost kids of Zaun, a place where hope could still grow green even in the toxic undercity.

Se (Extraverted Sensing) comes out when he fights—watch him in a scrap, and you’ll see his awareness of his surroundings, his ability to react and dodge reflexively, in the moment. Ekko’s no stranger to pain, but he’s learned to move with it, to shape it into something beautiful.

Caitlyn (ISTJ)

Caityln from Arcane is an ISTJ

Caitlyn is the steady hand of Piltover, the investigator who doesn’t just take shots in the dark—she lines them up and makes every one count. As an ISTJ, she’s the kind of person who builds her worldview from the ground up: every detail noted, every inconsistency challenged. No grand abstractions here—Caitlyn deals in facts and what’s real.

Si (Introverted Sensing) is the backbone of everything she does. This is the dominant function of the ISTJ and the one Caitlyn uses the most obviously. She doesn’t speculate about the future or chase ideas that have no footing in reality—she works with what she sees, what she knows, and what she can prove. When it comes to catching criminals and restoring order, Caitlyn doesn’t entertain theories that can’t be backed up by hard evidence. Her approach is concrete, methodical—like physically re-enacting a crime scene to catch the smallest clues others might miss.

Te (Extraverted Thinking) is Caitlyn’s tactical edge. She’s decisive, driven by the need to get results and impose order on the chaos. She doesn’t mince words or waste time—she takes charge, lays out a plan, and executes it with efficiency. A lot of people assume her caring nature is a result of having a Feeling preference, but the truth is she shows her care through tasks and practical support. For FJs, there’s a more feelings-centered approach; feelings come first, tasks later. TJs are all about the tasks, competence, and getting things done to make life smoother for everyone. They’re less about emotional navigation or exploring feelings deeply. Whether it’s persuading Vi to help with her investigation or trading for Shimmer to treat Vi’s injuries, she doesn’t hesitate. She believes that solving the problem is how you help people—emotions can be dealt with later, if at all.

Viktor (INTJ)

Viktor from Arcane is an INTJ

Viktor always has one foot in the present, the other in a future he’s already mapped out in his mind.  As a dominant Introverted Intuitive, he sees the threads of possibility in every piece of metal and every flicker of light. While others worry about what is, he’s focused on what could be—and he’s determined to build it, even if it means turning himself into part of the machine.

Te (Extraverted Thinking) gives Viktor the ruthless practicality to make his vision real. There’s no hand-wringing here—he calculates, he plans, and he executes with single-minded focus. When his health begins to fail, he doesn’t pause to pity himself—he forges ahead, using Shimmer and the Hexcore to keep his body moving, no matter the cost. INTJs often have an “ends justifies the means” approach, and can quickly put their bodies on the backburner if they’re on the edge of achieving their vision.

But underneath that icy focus, Fi (Introverted Feeling) is part of what keeps him human. This is the INTJ’s tertiary function and one that keeps him focused on his inner values and ethics. Fi is about internally processing emotions, finding the truth of them, and being authentic, no matter the cost. Viktor doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve, but it’s there—a deep loyalty to the people of the Undercity and a deeply personal sense of responsibility for the lives that get caught in the gears of progress. His compassion for those overlooked by Piltover drives him to keep working, even as the weight of his own guilt threatens to break him.

Viktor is the man behind the curtain: driven, determined, and quietly haunted. He’s not just working for himself—he’s working for every kid in Zaun who ever felt small, overlooked, or left behind. And if that means turning himself into the Machine Herald, so be it—because in his mind, the only tragedy greater than dying is leaving his vision unfinished.

Vander (ENFJ)

Vander from Arcane is an ENFJ

Vander is the glue that holds the fractured pieces of Zaun together. As an ENFJ, he’s the natural leader—the big brother, the mediator, the one who sees the potential in everyone around him and believes in it even when the world says otherwise.

His dominant Fe (Extraverted Feeling) is his greatest strength. Vander is amazing at connecting with people, weaving the tangled threads of Zaun’s streets into something that feels like family. He’s the voice that says, “We don’t have to fight to matter. We just have to stand together.” And when the cracks start to show, he’s the first to step up and say, “I’ll take the hit so you don’t have to.”

Ni (Introverted Intuition) is what sets him apart from the average bar owner with a heart of gold. Vander sees the big picture, and he understands that violence isn’t always the answer—even if it feels like the only option. He’s not focused on just running a bar; he’s building a sanctuary, a symbol of hope in a city that’s constantly on the brink.

Vander’s the father figure who sees the best in everyone and the leader who believes in a future where Zaun can thrive without losing its soul. In a world full of schemes and shattered dreams, Vander stands out as the rare person whose strength is measured by how much he can hold together—and how much he’s willing to sacrifice for the people who call him “boss,” “brother,” or “dad.”

Mel Medarda (ENTJ)

Mel Medara from Arcane is an ENTJ

At first I thought Mel was an ENFJ. She’s insightful, compassionate, and empathetic. But then I reminded myself, as all of us have to, that not all ENTJs are megalomaniac warlords like the stereotypes would imply.

Mel is  an Intuitive like an ENFJ, with a focus on the long game and the bigger picture. But she also uses Extraverted Thinking, the deciding-function of the ENTJ, to move forward. When the city’s on the brink of ruin, she’s not wringing her hands about what people want to hear—she’s working the angles, forging alliances, and leveraging every advantage she can find. She’s willing to manipulate, sure, but only if it gets her closer to a concrete solution.

Now healthy ENTJs balance their desire for competence and accomplishment with a process called Introverted Feeling. This function is all about staying true to yourself and doing what you believe is right. Unhealthy ENTJs are terrible at it; they move people around like chess pieces and don’t care about the emotional fallout. Healthy ENTJs have created a bond between their thinking side and their feeling side. Yes, Mel’s feeling side will never be as powerful as her thinking side, but it still informs all of her decisions. She doesn’t chase consensus or social approval (Fe)—she’s anchored by her internal sense of what matters, which is what Fi is all about.

The stress of crisis doesn’t flip her into self-doubt or nitpicking every logical like it might for Ti-inferior types (ENFJs and ESFJs). Instead, she starts weighing her motives, wondering if she’s really chosen this path or if she’s just become her mother’s shadow. That’s the healthy ENTJ under pressure: still decisive, but more self-aware, checking that her ambition aligns with her heart.

For Mel, the endgame is always practical and results-driven. She sees emotions—her own and others’—as data points to factor into her next move, not as the most significant piece in the puzzle. Her mastery of emotional nuance isn’t about making everyone feel good—it’s about steering the world where she knows it needs to go.

Heimerdinger (INTP)

Heimerdinger from Arcane is an INTP

At first glance, Heimerdinger might seem like he’s stuck in the past—clinging to tradition and caution while the world around him is racing ahead. Because of this, a lot of people have profiled him as an ISTJ or ISFJ. But here’s the thing: INTPs (especially INTP 5s or 6s) tend to be on the cautious side as well. They want to grasp the underlying principles of something and take time to spot inconsistencies or errors. Heimerdinger is an elderly, wise INTP who knows that good ideas aren’t enough if you don’t understand how they work—and what they might cost.

Heimerdinger’s core drive is Introverted Thinking (Ti). He doesn’t rush headlong into new projects or get carried away by big dreams—he wants to understand every variable, every potential consequence, before he signs off. He’s analytical, slower in his processing, and deeply curious about how things work and having clear definitions.

Then there’s his Extraverted Intuition (Ne). Even after centuries of experiments and lectures, he’s still captivated by new ideas. He’s the kind of scientist who sees a new invention and thinks, “What else can this do?”—not because he wants to control it, but because he’s curious. But where Ne can make some people impulsive, his Ti and life experience keep him grounded. He’s open to new theories, but only if they make sense.

His tertiary Si (Introverted Sensing) is what makes him so cautious. He’s lived through wars and watched magic turn cities to rubble. Those memories aren’t just history to him—they’re a constant reminder that progress has a cost. And while he’s not afraid of change, he won’t embrace it if he doesn’t think it can stand up to scrutiny.

In the end, Heimerdinger is the steady mind in a world that prizes speed and power over caution. He’s not here to chase the latest breakthrough or to indulge in endless what-ifs. He’s here to understand—to test, to verify, and to make sure that whatever comes next is worth the risk. Because to an INTP like Heimerdinger, that’s the only way progress has ever really mattered.

Silco (INTJ)

Silco from Arcane is an INTJ

Silco is the kind of leader who believes that vision isn’t just important—it’s everything. His entire existence revolves around the single-minded pursuit of Zaun’s independence, no matter how many alliances he has to break or lives he has to sacrifice along the way. Where others see risk, Silco sees opportunity. He’s always three steps ahead, whether he’s manipulating Marcus or transforming Deckard into a Shimmer monster. His ambition is fueled by a relentless Ni—he’s always playing the long game, always working the angles to make sure that the chaos of today creates the order of tomorrow.

He doesn’t waste energy on justifying himself or seeking approval—his Fi is fiercely loyal to what he believes is right, even if it means becoming the villain. When push comes to shove, he doesn’t blink. And yet, his bond with Jinx shows a different side: he has that signature Fi desire to protect a specific misfit or underdog—proof that even in a world built on betrayal and decay, something genuine can grow. In the end, Silco dies as he lived: unwavering in his vision, even if it means accepting the pain and destruction that come with it.

Maddie Nolen (ESFJ)

Maddie Nolen from Arcane is an ESFJ

Maddie is warm, perceptive, and quick to put others at ease. As an ESFJ, she’s all about reading people and connecting, whether she’s fighting alongside Caitlyn’s strike team or sharing a quiet moment of trust in the bedroom. Her Fe (Extraverted Feeling) makes her the kind of teammate you’d want watching your back—someone who reads the mood, fills in the gaps, and smooths out the rough edges when tensions run high. That said, like many Extraverted Feeling types, Maddie also knows how to play a role well. And in the end, this surprised all of us viewers who were not expecting her ultimate betrayal.

Singed (INTP)

Singed from Arcane is an INTP

Singed is the kind of scientist who’s never satisfied with the status quo—he’s always searching for the next breakthrough, no matter how many lines he has to cross to get there. As an INTP, his Ti (Introverted Thinking) drives him to take things apart and put them back together in ways no one else would dare. He doesn’t care about the rules—he cares about the data, the process, the thrill of discovery. That’s why he’s willing to sacrifice everything—creatures, people, even his own humanity—to see just how far he can push the boundaries of life.

But underneath that cool, calculating exterior is a man driven by his own twisted sense of purpose. Singed isn’t just experimenting for the sake of knowledge—he’s searching for something deeper, something that might redeem the world he’s helped break. He’s not a hero or a villain in the traditional sense—he’s a man consumed by curiosity and haunted by what that curiosity has cost him. In the end, Singed stands as a stark reminder that the pursuit of progress can be both a gift and a curse.

Claggor (ISFJ)

Claggor from Arcane is an ISFJ

Claggor was the steady rock of Vi’s crew, always there to lend a hand (or muscle) when things went south. As an ISFJ, he was cautious and loyal, often the voice of reason in their impulsive adventures. He wasn’t afraid to question whether their schemes were worth the risk—like when he hesitated before they broke into Jayce’s lab—but once he committed, he stuck by his family no matter the cost.

Claggor’s sense of duty to his adoptive family was his driving force. He didn’t crave the spotlight or the thrill of the heist—he just wanted to keep his friends safe and see them through to the other side.

Marcus (ESTJ)

Marcus from Arcane is an ESTJ

Marcus was a man of rules—at least until he wasn’t. As an ESTJ, he was decisive, efficient, and dedicated to getting things done, even if it meant cutting moral corners. His no-nonsense approach made him a perfect fit for Sheriff of Piltover, where he wielded his authority like a blunt instrument—quick to put down trouble and quick to remind everyone who was in charge.

But Marcus’s story is a cautionary tale of what happens when that Te (Extraverted Thinking) drive to maintain order becomes blind ambition. Silco played him like a fiddle, leveraging Marcus’s fear for his daughter and his need to stay on top. In the end, he was trapped in the web he’d spun—an ESTJ undone by his own rigid sense of control and the compromises he made to keep it.

Jayce Talis (ENFJ)

Jayce from Arcane is an ENFJ

Jayce was the golden boy of Piltover—visionary, idealistic, and a born leader. His ENFJ charisma made him a master of rallying people behind big dreams, whether it was Hextech or forging a better future for his city. He was driven by a deep need to be the protector Piltover needed, and he genuinely believed he could change the world for the better.

But even for an ENFJ, Jayce’s idealism had blind spots. His willingness to be everyone’s champion meant he was easily manipulated by those who saw the world in colder terms. Time and again, he was torn between his heart’s convictions and the harsh political reality of council rooms and power plays. And yet, despite it all, Jayce never lost that spark of hope—the belief that progress and compassion could go hand in hand.

Ambessa Medarda (ESTJ)

Ambessa Medarda from Arcane is an ESTJ

Ambessa Medarda was a force of nature: ruthless, calculating, and utterly focused on the bottom line. My daughter and I couldn’t stand her, even if we adored her aesthetic.

Her ESTJ mindset made her a born strategist—she had no patience for sentimentality or half-measures. In a world of dreamers, she was the voice of cold pragmatism, always weighing the odds and never hesitating to make the hard call if it meant securing power.

For Ambessa, strength is about control. She saw potential in people like Jayce, but she never let her admiration for anyone’s talent get in the way of her ambitions. Her confidence was unshakable because she never questioned her own authority. In the end, she was the quintessential ESTJ general: decisive, commanding, and willing to bulldoze anything in her way to get what she wanted.

Sevika (ISTP)

Sevika from Arcane is an ISTP

Sevika is the hard-nosed enforcer of Zaun, known for her pragmatic approach and no-nonsense demeanor. As an ISTP, she prefers direct action over drawn-out debates—she’s at her best when the fists are flying and the stakes are clear. She isn’t driven by lofty ideals or rousing speeches; she values what works, what’s real, and what keeps her people alive in a city that’s never cared about them. She’s fiercely independent, loyal to the cause, but never above calling out weakness—especially in leaders who talk more than they act.

Yet Sevika’s loyalty isn’t blind. She sticks with Silco until the end because she believes he’s the only one tough enough to get things done. Her instincts keep her alive and in power long after others have fallen. When Silco dies, Sevika doesn’t waste time with grief—she sees the next step and keeps moving. Her toughness masks a surprisingly flexible mind, always weighing the next move in a world where plans change in an instant.
