Evelyn Wang is tired of a life that is filled with lots of pressures but very little meaning. Worried about her failing laundromat and her “wimpy” husband, Evelyn feels like she’s the only person who can hold everything together. The result is that she is exhausted, terse, and out of touch with who she is at her core.

One day when Evelyn is meeting with her IRS auditor, she discovers a wild, cosmic secret. Suddenly, she embarks on an adventure of personal and interdimensional proportions. Everything Everywhere All At Once is a sci-fi fantasy that follows Evelyn’s quest to find her place and save her daughter in an ever-expanding universe.

Why would ENFPs love this movie? This movie is filled with random adventures, possibilities, and insights. It’s fast pace, absurdity, and big heart keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what will happen next. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll feel every emotion in between! ENFPs see connections everywhere and are likely to love the idea of a movie that encompasses all the different ways our lives could have turned out. Plus, Evelyn’s journey will tug at their heartstrings and give them something meaningful to consider long after the credits have rolled.

  1. This was the very first time this was TOTALLY off for my personality. I absolutely hate terrifying movies and alien predator stuff. I have actually enjoyed very much the Glass Onion and Uncharted to the tune of seeing it over twice. I love detective style movies and documentaries involving king’s and Victorian eras. I do not like scary anything. Any idea why this would be the case?

  2. I score INTJ 70% of the time (INFJ 30%), but I relate to the INFJ movie much more, and it sounds more interesting to me too. I read “All Quiet on the Western Front” in high school and found it boring. I will have to try to find “The Quiet Girl.” Is it on Netflix?

    1. Maybe instead of scoring, it might be interesting to look deeper in the profiles and the cognitive functions, so you could know which one is the real one? It sounds like a better investment for your time, no?

      1. I already did spend a lot of time looking into that. The profiles of INTJ and INFJ both describe me better than any of the other types. But the cognitive functions I’ve found to be wrong about me as well as about 50% of other people I’ve talked to on the subject. It makes sense for me to be like both INTJ and INFJ since I score near the middle on T and F. INTJ and INFJ both have Ni as dominant and Se as inferior. Se is definitely my weakest function, but Ni is not my dominant. My top 3 functions are all introverted functions, and I know that doesn’t align with the cognitive functions theory, but remember, it’s just a theory, not fact. Theories can be wrong.

  3. Seeing Glass Onion and Everything Everywhere All At Once both being movies for NP types 100% makes sense as an INFP.

  4. So many good choices. This will be my movie guide. I don’t usually watch comedies because I have ptsd from watching so many unfunny comedies but the description of the movie paradise made me laugh. I might give it a try 🙂

  5. The movie recommended for INTP does sound interesting. 🙂

I’ve watched the one for ENTP and really enjoyed it, and I’m quite curious about the quote from the ENTJ movie….
I’ll have to come back on this article for movies ideas.

  6. I’m an ESFP and I absolutely LOVE Uncharted! I bought it ASAP when it came out 🙂

Haven’t watched Elvis yet but I might give it a go.

  7. I’m an INTP, but disagree with the recommended movie, since I find dramas incredibly dull and dreary (which is probably why I don’t like the Last of Us video games but love the Uncharted series). I prefer action adventure movies such as Uncharted (not any kind of purist, so I didn’t mind the changes), The Mummy Trilogy (more the Brendan Fraser ones than the Tom Cruise one, though I didn’t think it was that bad, just focused more on the horror aspect than the adventurous “fun” part), Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. I prefer movies (and games) that are more action based, since I went to the movie Clue with my family because of all the hype, and would have had more fun watching paint dry (it was that boring).

    1. I’m actually an INFP, I used to be a INTP, but am more of a feeler now. It seems the movie chosen for this particular personality type is a bit more my style, since it sounds a bit like the first Uncharted game entitled Drake’s Fortune (which involves a cursed treasure, but is very little about redemption, if at all). Though it’s not necessarily my type of movie, I might give it a watch and see how it fits in with my actual personality type.

  8. “All Quiet on the Western Front” is spot on for me (INTJ). I remember watching the first black and white version as a 10 or 11 year old three or four times and being absolutely caught up by it. Then as a young teen I checked the book out and read with the same reaction. I have reread it later in life to see if maturity had changed me and my reaction. It got me into history and was the second war I made a detailed study of. I was a child during the centennial of the American civil war and got interested in it from the interest generated by it first. I even found reasons to watch the television remake with John Boy of the Waltons (only fair). I will have to somehow see this version and see how it compares, will it still have the shattering visceral ending that haunts me to this day?
